Nice and Monaco

From Aix-En Provence, Margaux and I met with up Muna and Chris in Nice.  We got there a little late on the first night so we didn't have a lot of time to go out and see the city.  There had been rumors of rain but luckily the next day it was sunny and perfect beach weather minus a little bit of wind.

just another beautiful day in Nice

this picture doesn't do justice to the different shades of blue in the water

After hanging out at the beach, we walked around old Nice and sat to have a drink at a cafe.

The next day we decided to head to Monaco for the day because it was so close.  Only a 20 minute train ride away, it was definitely worth it to go.  We walked around a lot, saw the castle, saw bleachers being set up for the Grand Prix at the end of May, along with many yachts and nice cars.  I had been to Monaco once before but it was overcast and had rained.  The weather was infinitely better this time around.

After spending the day here, we went back to Nice for dinner and to walk along the promenade.  I really wanted to visit the Hotel Negresco, which is where I stayed my very first night in France.  We took a look at the inside again and decided to have a drink at the bar inside the hotel.  Great way to spend our last night in Nice.

The next morning, we parted ways again.  Chris went back to London, Muna was headed to Paris and Margaux and I were off to start our next adventure in the Cinque Terre.  This might be one of my favorite places in the world so it's going to be a fun entry to write! Stay tuned!

C'est la belle vie!
